Stained Glass Applique
Last weekend I discovered a new product at JoAnn's called Stained Glass Appliques. It is a repositionable self cling window decoration. I have an elongated octagon window in my entry way that I wished was stained glass, so this product sounded perfect. I chose a package called Vineyard Rose, and an extra package of 6 feet of black caming lines. After using coupons at JoAnn's, it came to less than $20.
Installation is simple. Real stained glass is not an exact craft, so if installation isn't precise, it's not critical. I used a tape measure to center the main part of the applique', and if you are a perfectionist you could put a piece of tape to mark your distance from top or sides. The directions are literally peel, position and press, finish with caming lines.
I picked up a second package of caming lines, and I'm very happy with the results. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is amazing.
